Find your way around Berkeley and the UC campus like a local with this Berkeley bike map and walking guide. It covers street grades, scenic routes, stairways, and bike shops, plus a dedicated UC Berkeley campus map and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Berkeley’s hills are steep and its street grid is anything but a grid – a phone map will route you the “fastest” way, which is rarely the way you’d actually choose on a bike. This paper map is built for a rider or walker who wants to see the whole East Bay hillside at once and pick their own route.
The coverage extends well past the campus itself – from the Berkeley Marina and the flatlands near the bay, up through the winding roads into the Berkeley Hills toward Tilden Regional Park, plus neighboring Albany, El Cerrito, Emeryville, Kensington, North Oakland, Piedmont, and South Richmond.
